Happy Home Print Collection By Simplified

If you are a fan of the stunning covers from Emily Ley’s Simplified Planners, then you will love the new Happy Home Print Collection.  A collection of six gorgeous prints that Emily shared during her Facebook live this morning to kick off the team’s launch week. The collection is designed and painted by Jessa Bray, Art Director at Simplified.

Each of these beautiful prints features colors from the brand’s signature happy stripe palette, proverbs and quotes from Emily’s best-selling books.  One of them was even in the running to be a planner cover for this year (Blue Blooms).  The prints were introduced to help fill your home with joy, positivity and meaningful messages.

The collection will be available on the Simplified website at launch on September 4th with the new Signature Simplified Planners. The prints can be purchased separately or as a bundle (frames not included).

6 Ideas To Get You Ready For Fall

6 Ideas To Get You Ready For Fall

It’s that PSL (Pumpkin Spiced Latte) time of year again! The days are still warm but the nights are cooler and you can start to smell fall in the air. Although technically summer is not over, you’ve started craving the crunch of leaves under your feet and some cozy clothing to throw on.

As the long, lazy days of summer collapse into fall, it’s time for a little refresh to usher in the new season. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Decorate your planner for fall

Giving your planner a refresh is a great way to get excited for the season. After all, you are going to be looking at it everyday and having a fall vibe can be so inspirational. So, give us all the pumpkin and autumn stickers please and swap out that cover for something with a fall color palette. Get a bit more creative and add a few fall-themed pictures and some pretty ephemera.  We are loving this Pinterest-inspired page by @plansbyrochelle in her Happy Planner and this set up by @heartsbyemma in her Carpe Diem Planner.

Plan fall-themed activities

The cooler weather and crisp air is perfect for fall activities. Start planning a day for apple picking, go on a nature hike and soak up the gorgeous foliage and maybe invite friends over for a pumpkin carving party. We challenge you to come up with some fun fall-themed adventures, and don’t forget to share and document them in your planner!

Participate in a planner challenge

There’s nothing like a planner challenge to kick off a new season and get you in the spirit. There are so many talented and creative people in our planner community to connect with and follow along.  Try searching the #seasonalbucketlistchallenge or #cocoadaisyplannerchallenge on Instagram this season or start your own fun, fall challenge.

Give your wardrobe a refresh

Fall has to be the best season for a wardrobe refresh. A new pair of boots? A cozy scarf? Maybe even a soft leather jacket?  Having some fresh new staple pieces will give you a boost in confidence and get you excited to take on the new season. Start looking in stores and searching online for those perfect items and make a wish list in your planner to keep track of what you have your eye on.

Attend an event or meet-up

Gather together with friends at a local craft store or coffee shop for an impromptu planner sesh. Check our Mark Your Planner section for upcoming planner events and meet-ups to connect with other planners IRL (in real life). Making those connections and bonds with people who share your interests is a fun and motivating way to celebrate the season.

Try out some fall-themed recipes

If you like all things pumpkin spiced, then don’t just stop at your latte! Pumpkin and other fall spices are great seasonings for cooking and baking as well. So break out your favorite cookbook or check out some fall-themed recipes on Pinterest

Have a great fall y’all!

KIT Life Is The Best Life – 2020 Launch

KIT Life Is The Best Life – 2020 Launch

Life is more than a to-do list – but having a pretty one isn’t bad either!  The ladies of teamKIT (Jessica, Jenny and Liz) are very passionate and dedicated to crafting tools that help women achieve a better balance within the hectic everyday business of life.

The KIT brand, an acronym which stands for Keeping It Together, embodies a lifestyle of Be More, Do More, Give More. A philosophy that is rooted in the core pillars of gratitude, productivity, wellness and joy that guide the way to a more fulfilled life. Each of these pillars run throughout the beautiful pages of the flagship planner with dedicated areas such as be grateful, be active, eat well and self care. A #KITgirl strives to make these a part of her everyday without getting caught up in perfection or comparison.

For the 2020 calendar year launch, the KIT Luxe Planners have six stunning covers to choose from in either the daily or weekly layout.  Both versions now offer a generous new pocket inside the front cover, coordinating metal coils with monthly planning pages and the signature quarterly check-in pages as well as an end of year evaluation.

If these covers don’t make it hard enough to choose, there are just as many exciting new changes to the interior layouts of both the daily and weekly versions as well.

The Daily KIT Luxe Planner has a fresh new interior color palette and updated page layout which now features the “BIG 3” at the top of the page plus ten extra notes pages in the back of the book.

Kit Life Daily Planner

The Weekly KIT Luxe Planner, also available for the first time in a neutral palette, features new “specialty” pages at the end of each month (not an add-on) for budget, reflections, aspirations and habit tracking in addition to the quarterly check-in pages and end of year evaluation.

Kit Life Weekly Planner

As an added bonus, each KIT Luxe Planner now comes packaged in a beautifully designed keepsake box that can be used afterwards to store your previous planner or other planner accessories. And, speaking of accessories, the well-loved “tracker” stickers have also gotten a refresh for the launch as well as the page marker dashboard which is now a full page size with gorgeous gold foil floral details.

We are all striving for balance and a happier more fulfilling life each day. Having a planning tool that offers a focus on things that truly matter can make it all seem a bit more manageable. The new 2020 KIT Luxe Planners will be available to order on Wednesday, August 28th on kitlife.net

Happy planning!

For The Love Of…Jelly

For The Love Of…Jelly

Jelly…it’s not just for peanut butter sandwiches anymore. When someone in the planner community says “jelly” there is no doubt as to what they are talking about. It has become the popular term or lingo for the material that has been transformed, sparkled and hand-stitched into so many fun and colorful planner accessories. Spotted around the community in everything from planner covers, dashboards, pen cases, sticker pouches and so much more!

Here is a look at just a few of these jellylicious goodies:

If you are looking to add a little jelly to your planner line up, these are a few tips – courtesy of Kate @saltykatie – on what to look out for when buying hand-sewn jelly products online:

  1. Make sure the cover is shown on the planner to ensure it actually fits the planner size you are buying it for
  2. Zoom in on product photos and check for quality details like rounded corners and reinforced stitches in stress points around pocket openings
  3. No bends, large gaps or wavy excess jelly between the planner and the stitchings
  4. Look for straight, short stitches and no zig zag stitches ever

Happy shopping!

5 Years Of Sticker Joy With Design Pandemonium

5 Years Of Sticker Joy With Design Pandemonium

Design Pandemonium, known for their colorful, fun and “wacky” vinyl stickers, celebrates their five-year anniversary this month.  Back when creator Vicki Barnidge decided to start a little side project, she had no idea it would grow into a full-blown business. One year into her new venture, Vicki was joined by her sister Jessica who brought her own artistic flair and direction to the brand designing hand-drawn sticker sheets, sticker kits and their well-known “wacky” holiday sheets.

Together, the two sisters released one of the first “planner” subscriptions, Pimp My Planner, which has evolved into the monthly #StickerJOY subscription. Each month, StickerJOY subscribers receive a delivery full of joy and goodies. The package contains themed sticker kit designs, patterns and color palettes that are exclusive to subscribers and not available to purchase separately plus coordinated accessories and stationery items.

Today, Design Pandemonium has expanded their products to include washi tape, pins, notepads and more. The creative sister team loves brainstorming and curating unique items like their handy sticker wallets, washi cards and storage albums to keep all your favorite sheets organized.

GIVING BACK:

To commemorate their five-year milestone, Design Pandemonium is launching a brand new 2020 Wacky Holidays Jumbo Wall Calendar which features a signature hand-drawn wacky holiday on each day of the year. The calendar also features a handy back pocket to store the add-on coordinating sticker bundle that helps make your planning easy and functional.

For every calendar sold, Design Pandemonium is donating $5 directly to AuSM, the Autism Society of Minnesota, for their continued work helping autistic children, adolescents, adults and families in need of support and assistance.  AuSM is a cause close to their hearts since Jessica’s son was diagnosed with autism. AuSM was started by a passionate group of parents from the Minnesota area to gain more resources in an out of the classrooms for their children. Get more information about AuSM.
