Tips For Making A Vision Board – “Sip & Clip” With NYC Planner Addicts

Tips For Making A Vision Board – “Sip & Clip” With NYC Planner Addicts

A vision board is a tangible representation of your goals, dreams and deepest feelings. It can be a very powerful thing when done with intention. Vision boards are a way for you to gain clarity and stay on track with what is important to you. But don’t worry, there is no right way for it to look when it’s finished. Making a vision board is more about the process and intention than the end result.

This weekend, the NYC Planner Addicts (NYPAS) hosted a “Sip & Clip” Vision Board Workshop with Paper House Productions.  Planner friends came together to have fun and create their vision boards for 2020. Inspiration filled the room as planners shared their dreams and designs with each other.

Here are some do’s and don’ts to keep in mind, when making your own vision board:

Do – Start by writing down your goals and aspirations

Do – Clip quotes, words and images that resonate with you and inspire you

Do – Build a board that represents the life you want (are dreaming of)

Do – Fill your board with positivity

Do – Keep it visible and reflect on it often

Don’t – Be afraid to channel your inner creativity and have fun

Don’t –  Include “would be nice” things that really do not hold a deeper meaning for you personally

Don’t – Expect instant gratification and quick wins

Get started on your vision board today. Enjoy the process and have fun – you got this!

Ways To Be Intentional And Make Progress This Year

Ways To Be Intentional And Make Progress This Year

We have all heard the saying “hindsight is 20/20”. Well just imagine how clear our vision could become if we took a few minutes each day to be intentional about something that really mattered to us. Imagine the difference it would make in the big picture.

So many times there are things we want to accomplish or make progress on but it just seems too overwhelming. The best approach in these cases is to focus on little intentional steps or moments each day. Monthly planning is a great way to do this. Having a separate dedicated space (apart from your schedule and to do list) gives you a “big picture” overview but still allows you to document things daily.  Think more focus and less distractions.

When working on your intentions this year, think about what is important to you and dedicate your monthly pages or even an entire monthly planner to being intentional about something you want to focus on. You will be amazed at how far you have come when you look back and review your month at a glance.

Here are some ideas:
