Behind The Shop is an ongoing series that features our talented and devoted shop owner community. Each time, we talk one-on-one with a shop owner/s to hear first hand what shop life is all about. Whether it’s a new shop that just came onto the scene or a popular community favorite – we want to share more about their journeys and stories with you.
Like most entrepreneurs, Jane Wild began her journey out of necessity. Having always been a functional paper planner, she struggled to find a system that worked for her. She started with a basic (but too large) three ring binder and later discovered discbound notebooks at office supply stores. But at the time, there were no discbound calendar inserts available. So she got to work and used her laptop to design her first planner inserts in excel. After creating her own homemade planner, Jane began getting requests from friends and coworkers which led to opening a shop on Etsy. Soon, the requests and custom orders started rolling in and within two years, Jane left her job and went full time.
Now ten years later, Jane’s Agenda has become a full print shop offering a variety of planner inserts in multiple sizes, three monthly subscription box offerings, a ready to ship line as well as dozens of beautiful planner related accessories. Planner inserts are available in five discbound options (mini, junior, half-letter unpunched, classic and letter) plus A5 ringbound with Monday or Sunday start as well as dated or undated. It has been an incredible journey.
We chatted with Jane all about being an entrepreneur, the ten year anniversary celebration, juggling a busy work/home life and what’s to come in the future. Take a listen below:
10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
To celebrate the ten year anniversary, Jane’s Agenda will have a 15% OFF sitewide sale, a variety of new layout designs, 2024 Dated Essentials inserts, a giveaway on social media as well as special doorbusters and freebies. The anniversary event runs from Thursday, August 17th at noon until Monday, August 21st at noon. WHAT’S NEXT
Going forward, Jane is focused on continuing a quality customer experience, fine tuning layout options, planning/productivity training for her community as well as expanding the line of digital products.
