Whether it’s a new shop that just came onto the scene or a popular community favorite – we want to share more about their journeys and stories with you.

After pursuing her dream of moving to L.A. from Brazil and studying fashion, Flavia Gabriel stumbled onto the planner community when searching for inserts for her new LV agenda. When she wasn’t able to find inserts with an aesthetic and function that worked for her, she decided to combine her love of paper and fashion to design her own. Flavia knew her passion for chic, fashion-inspired products would resonate with other women and planner enthusiasts so she created The Fabulous Planner for other paper loving fashionistas. What started has a side hustle selling inserts and dashboards on Etsy, has grown into a full time business with planners, stickers, journals, a subscription box and more.

Now, after more than five years in business, Flavia helps other entrepreneurs by offering one-on-one business coaching. She has also started expanding her product line, including a new book bound planner launching for 2022 and other stationery items. Her next steps for the brand include attending trade shows in the new year to gain more of a retail presence, which is something she has already started with a small pop-up shop in San Diego.

We chatted with Flavia about all things The Fabulous Planner, growing a planner business and helping others go after their dreams. Take a listen to our chat below:

SUBSCRIPTION BOX 

In 2019, The Fabulous Planner began offering a monthly subscription box which includes an exclusive collection of planner related products and stationery accessories. Each month, Flavia curates a different theme and mix of products to surprise and delight subscribers. The box is available in two options, Classic and Luxury, or one with dashboards and inserts and the other with only accessories. Since it started, the sub box has become one of the most popular items in the shop.  The latest “Ballerina” theme, designed in beautiful hues of pink and purple, completely sold out. But stay tuned for fall boxes and Flavia even has plans for a special SoCal/Go Wild theme coming soon!

PLANNERS & JOURNALS 

The Fabulous Planner offers ring planner inserts as well as full disc punched planners, all made by hand in house. For 2022, Flavia has designed the first book bound dated planner, which will be manufactured overseas. It has a chic and neutral aesthetic with monthly and weekly spreads as well as other additional planning pages. It will be available for pre-sale on the website soon.  Journals are something Flavia is passionate about because it is such a critical practice in achieving your dreams. She has plans to offer more in the new year as well.

BUSINESS COACHING

Helping other female entrepreneurs is also something Flavia is also passionate about. After receiving tons of questions on social media about her business and advice for getting started, she decided to offer one-on-one business coaching calls. It is typically a one time call, for about an hour, where she takes a deep dive into your brand and business to help you take action and make a plan. Before each call, she requests a lot of background information and begins doing research to offer an in-depth approach and guidance for each client. She knows first hand how hard and isolating it can be to start and grow a business and wants to help others along the way.
