PlannerCRUSH – January
We are so excited to share our latest “#PlannerCRUSH” with you! In this series we share the planning style of someone in our community that we just can’t get enough of. We are talking about saving all the IG posts, scrolling the reels feed and binge watching all the PWMs. Each time, we will feature a clue along with a few planner pics to see if you can recognize our #plannercrush? Here goes:
CLUE: Planning is her therapy and creative outlet
ANSWER: Yarnie @heyplannergirl
Yarnie began her planner journey around 2016 after her boss gifted her a beautiful leather TN cover. But is was only recently that she actually found the planner community. Now, she has explored a variety of planners and styles to find a system that works for her. Yarnie likes to keep her planners functional and versatile to allow for life changes. She believes that what may work in one season of life may shift in another. Planning is also her creative outlet and she enjoys how it allows for both artistic and written expression.
Currently, Yarnie has quite an impressive planner stack which includes a total of 10 planners in her system. At the moment, she is using mostly book bound planners including 1) B6 Nolty: main planner; 2) Hobo Weeks: wellness; 3) Hobo Week: memory keeper; 4) Soumkine: 3 year journal for my children; 5) A6 Hobonichi Day Free: stream of consciousness; 6) Midori MD Diary A6: creative journal; 7) B6 Slim Nanami: commonplace book; 8) FC Compact Rings: extension planner; 9) A5 Rings: shop planner; 10) Mini 5 rings: wallet planner. She also likes to keep her deco style simple and minimal with mostly paper and pen. Her favorite planning essentials are Tomoe River paper, Platinum 3776 pen and rub on stickers (to minimize bulk) from MU brand.
Recently, she opened her own printables shop on Etsy designing a variety of functional inserts (some of which are fillable PDF format) for different planner sizes. Yarnie also released a collab bundle of inserts and dashboards with Arelle @rledzn (a previous #PlannerCRUSH) called, “Stars & Dreams” inspired by Arelle’s favorite book series. It is available in her shop now in multiple sizes. She also frequently shares freebies on her IG account. Connecting with the community and other like-minded planners has made the journey all the more rewarding for her.
