When Rachael Werner, a busy mom of three, couldn’t find a planner to suit her style of planning she decided to create it. Inspired by her grandmother’s love of list making, Rachael envisioned a planner layout that was very different from the traditional planners on the market. She wanted a planner where your to-do list could be “sprinkled into the cracks of life” and not be your entire life. A place to be intentional with your time and focus on what matters. So the “spaces way” of planning was born.
After sharing her unique style of planning with friends, Rachael created the first spiral bound Spaces Planner for the 2019 calendar year. Since then, it has grown in popularity among those looking for something a bit less structured. The weekly layout is designed with a combination of boxes or spaces that can be used for various lists and areas of life you need to focus on. These spaces allow for a more flexible way of planning which can be switched up each week, if needed, to work for you. A few of the spaces are labeled with intentional categories, like relationship, housework, errands, health and personal while others are completely open for interpretation by the user.
We spoke to Rachael to learn more about the Spaces approach to planning, her journey as a business owner and all the exciting new products launching for 2022. Take a listen to our chat below:
