PlannerCRUSH - October

We are so excited to share our latest “#PlannerCRUSH” with you! In this series we share the planning style of someone in our community that we just can’t get enough of. We are talking about saving all the IG posts, scrolling the reels feed and binge watching all the PWMs. Each time, we will feature a clue along with a few planner pics to see if you can recognize our #plannercrush?  Here goes

CLUE: Trying new things can be so rewarding…

ANSWER: Ashlea @real.paper.pages

Ashlea started her planner journey in 2016 but found her love of bullet journaling and memory planning around 2021. Inspired by Kelsey @kelsey.doodles on IG, Ashlea decided to take creative control over her planner and started creating bujo spreads. She leaned into journaling in her planner as an outlet for her creativity but it also helps her stay organized as a busy mom with three kids.

Although she has developed such a passion for bullet journals, she confesses that blank pages still give her anxiety and making that first mark is the hardest part. Most of her favorite layouts started with just trying something new and she encourages others to do the same. She loves the process but says the most rewarding part is looking at what you created from scratch once it is all done.

Her current planner stack includes a Notebook Therapy A5 dot grid bullet journal for monthly and weekly planning layouts and a  Moterm undated vertical weekly layout travelers notebook for memory keeping and writing small details about each day of the week. Although you only need a planner/journal and a pen, some of her other favorite essential tools are stickers, washi tape, PET tape (a newer favorite) and Crayola Colors of The World broad line markers (pretty and affordable).

Ashlea has since been inspired by many creative people in the planner community and continues to evolve her style of planning/journaling. She loves the idea of passing her planners and journals onto her kids one day so they can remember all the special moments they shared.
