CLUE: Creativity can be productive…

ANSWER: Amy @amyplansthings

Amy has always had a passion for notebooks, stationery and office supplies, like many of us. As a new mom and small business owner, she was struggling with remembering all the things and keeping all the balls in the air.  Around 2019, she discovered decorative planning and the planner community after finding Mary Ellen (@planningwithbumble) on Instagram. Amy was inspired to make her first trip to the Michaels planner aisle and the rest was history.

After purchasing her first Happy Planner (classic vertical) and two sticker books she was hooked. By the next day, she was back buying a wellness planner and started her planner Instagram account the same week. Planning has allowed her to become creative again plus help her stay organized and productive throughout her busy days. In particular, she loves discbound planners because of all the customization options and being able to change things up every month.

Her current planner stack includes a “frankenplanner” of the following; Happy Planner Classic Vertical, Happy Planner Classic Checklist, Happy Planner Stress Management and her own monthly tracker journal bundle (digital download).  She has recently been using three other planners/journals including the Happy Planner Dot Grid Notebook as a creative journal, Happy Planner Skinny Classic as a meal planner, and The Daily Grind Goal Setting Daily Planner. Besides planners, Amy's favorite essentials include stickers, pens, washi and inks (Distress Ink) to use with stencils, stamps, and blending tools.

While planning has become a wonderful creative outlet for her, it ultimately has been great for her organization and productivity. She keeps her planners on the kitchen counter for quick and easy check-ins during her morning coffee and before bed with some herbal tea. She feels that making your planner part of your daily routine is crucial to being successful and staying consistent.
